Since coming to Kelly Street, the garden has become a big part of our lives. Using our relocation as an advantage, I continue to conceive projects that can engage community youth while also serving as a creative element for the garden.
With Arts Fund grants from the Bronx Council of the Arts, I have been able to to execute 2 major projects in the past 3 years. The first was the ScareCrow project and more recently, we reimagined to mural at the end of the garden. We hope to continue this trend in 2020 with the creation of the Kelly Street Artists Coalition which will be housed onsite and seeks to offer a series of creative workshops for the local community.
